Creating art is very natural to me. I’m always full of feelings and ideas, which find expression in my art. But there is also some greater force beyond me that guides my hand and allows magic to happen.
When I make art, I stare at the canvas and try to “see” the subject of my new painting. There is no planning at all to my work, because to plan something out and work according to a draft is not exciting to me. I want the emotions, colours and images to be as fresh and true to the moment as possible.
My goal is to show my audience THAT which in their deepest heart they know to be true and long to see expressed in existence – that is – beauty, harmony, love, and meaning. I wish to create works of art that communicate enduringly over great reaches of time and cultural diversity.
In order to do this, I strive to get as far away as possible from the mass produced, generic images that overwhelm our minds every day. My works of art are created with a spiritual purpose. They are designed to be ambiguous enough to offer every viewer something different and unique. At any moment, my art is reflecting the viewer’s own state of mind back to him or her like a mirror, making self discovery and healing through art possible.
