An Uncharacteristic Second Update

I just realized that some links on the site were broken. That issue had been fixed. I am also looking into improving the contact form, as it seems to be buggy at the moment.

I have added some small figurative paintings, a couple of medium figurative paintings, and one large one.

Yesterday Toller Cranston stopped by with a portrait he did of me, and we did a painting exchange. So now I’m the proud owner of 2 Toller Cranston paintings – one from 1971 and one from 2014. And he owns about 4 or 5 of mine. I like the idea of exchanges between painters. Further down the line, these collections will be of significant interest. I also hope to do an exchange with Bermudian artist Bruce Stuart who is my neighbour, and I have recently purchased some woodblock prints from Carlos Bautistab, a Mexican artist from Cuernavaca.

On a recent trip to Oaxaca, I discovered that the art prices in that city are significantly higher than what I’m used to. For example, 6×6 inch paintings by an established but not very old Mexican artist were priced at $1200 US and a 4×4 foot painting was about $17 000, while a 7×8 foot painting was priced at an astounding $72 000.
